CAUSES AND REMIDIES OF FABRIC DEFECTS ON AIR JET

There is a wide variation of the methods to be used within the Asarwa Mills itself which also leads to fabric defect. The defect in fabric is about 2-3% which leads the quality and efficiency of the fabric in negative prospect.

Hence we have decided to analyse the reason behind the defects in fabric ,it's consequences and the way to minimise the defects which can lead to good quality of fabric and can help economically.

Development in Glass Yarn

 Development in Glass Yarn

The concept of project struck onto our minds during a Mill-Visit. We noticed that few looms make glass fabric in same efficiency. We also observed that some looms are less workable.

Then during our visit, we experienced that when the glass fabric is produced by DORNIER Rapier loom, there is problem of abrasion (between reed & held wire).

In the case of MALIVAT stitch bonding machine, there is problem of stitching (needle setting).

During visit MULTI AXIAL & BI AXIAL machine, there is problem ( needle setting, damaging, &needle not proper work).
The objective of project includes preparation of fabric that does not any defect & good finished glass fabric.

Textile Design Perspective

 Textile Design Perspective

We are doing project under the Fabric Design. In which we are doing Sample analysis of different brands. We are doing analysis of Domestic and International Brands like peter England, mufti, aero, zodiak, etc.

We are also making fabric design which is similar to our analysis. We are taking a any one theme and as per theme making a sample. Also making design on Designing software.

Yarn Hairness

  •  In conventional ringframe machines fibre flies is increased due to bigger spinning triangle which influence the Hairiness of the yarn , so that to reduce the hairiness of the yarn compact spinning system is used for making the spinning triangle small and compact.which ultimately reduced the fibre flies and hairiness of yarn. Humidity of the spinning department is kept at the optimum level around 65% which can help to reduce the yarn hairiness.
  • In ringframe machines, drafting system is used to convert the roving in to the yarn so that proper drafting system setting is required to reduce yarn hairiness.
  • Worn out parts of the machines is change at the regular period of time so that worn parts are not affect the yarn quality.Worn out parts like ring & traveller drafting rollers etc.
  • At the time of winding the ring bobbin, friction force between the ring and traveller is minimum so that it can’t detoriate the yarn appearance.

TO STUDY AND ANALYSIS YARN PERFORMANCE ON WEAVING PREPARATORY

The concept of project struck onto our minds during a Mill-Visit.
We noticed that few preparatory machines were kept shut as the order had a limited scope and could be fulfilled using half of the preparatory machines available.

When we switched to the other Department, we observed that the order was pending because the particular yarn package had a less availability in terms of number.

Disciplinary Project 1

 Disciplinary Project 1

Jacquard weaving technology is very useful to develop complex weaving fabric design thus in this study, we will try to develop reversible cloth which is useful to use both side- face and back, having opposite figure/motif to each other by help of CAD/CAM software.

To produces varieties of reversible cloth samples taking different figures, varieties of yarns and colour combination based on capacity of electronic jacquard. These types of fabric are more useful in home textile as blanket, curtains, carpets, table cloth, sofa covers, decorative fabric, etc as

its gives quick design change by changing one side to another side of fabric. It is also use to manufacture double sided garments like jackets.

Disciplinary Project 2

 Disciplinary Project 2

The aim of this project is to study the influence of doubling on the properties of Ring yarn, Rotor yarn & Air jet yarn and also on their combination of fabric. Different spinning techniques likes Ring ,Rotor, Air jet ,etc. produce yarn with different structure & properties of these yarns of different structures produced by different technology are combined on doubling machine , then different varieties of yarn can be produced. The experiment aims at studying the effect of resultant yarn by doubling different yarns & study the properties of fabric made out of it.

Disciplinary Project 3

 Disciplinary Project 3

The project aims to produce air textured yarns which are suitable for producing fabrics with high cover, greater bulk and soft handle which may be suitable for upholstery fabric. Study also includes weaving of fabric and characterization of their properties.

Disciplinary Project 4

 Disciplinary Project 4

The work investigates the effect of variation in weft yarn type on the properties of woven fabric. Five pairs of fabrics with weft as polyamide yarn & polyster yarn are to be woven on rapier weaving machine. The proportion to be investigated are the breaking strength, pilling, abrasion resistance, bursting strength, etc.
